Rabin Kaini
Graduate Research Assistant
Hello, I’m Rabin, a Master of Planning student at Dalhousie University with a background in civil engineering and ESG. My work focuses on addressing the often-overlooked realities of accessibility and ableism in Halifax.
At NeighbourABLE, I visit people’s homes (with their permission), take measurements, photograph spaces, and ask thoughtful questions to understand how well their environments support daily life. The goal is to identify where design supports or hinders independent living and how we can make it better.
Through research, data analysis, and community conversations, we envision a Halifax where accessibility is not treated as a burden, but as a valuable and forward-thinking investment in inclusive urban design.
