3. Synthesize Data to Develop and Propose the Tool

What’s being done:

• Integrate insights from:

  • Environmental observations (audit data)

  • Lived experience interviews (coded in NVivo)

  • Demographic and contextual factors (e.g., age, co-morbid disabilities)

    
    

• Identify common accessibility pain points, features that support independence, and patterns in misfit between people and spaces.

  
  

• Map these patterns into functional domains (e.g., mobility, reachability, safety) to form core tool dimensions.

  
  

Output:

• A draft prototype of the NeighbourABLE assessment tool (not yet validated).

• Categorized indicators with examples, potentially visual scales, or score-based components.

  
  

• This prototype will later be refined and validated in future phases (not in this current study).
